SYRINGE
Sherry / Sloth
LM007 7"
Edition of 500
$3ppd USA/$5ppd world
Track listing:
Side A: Sherry
Side B: Sloth
The second single from this once 3 piece. If you thought the first single
was good, this one's down right addictive. It was stuck to my turntable
for weeks. I thought it was going to pull up the belt with it when I
finally went to flip sides. Two brilliant tracks but slightly painful
in a good way. ominous blue vinyl.

Reviews:
Having spent some time with Flaming Lips records, Syringe's ideas are
embedded in sad and sweet psych-laced pop songs. Acoustic guitars strum
as amps choke on feedback, all the while the singer sets a tone that
welcomes you into his world. Whether repetitive word usage (on "Sherry")
or soft-spoken fragmented ideas (on "Sloth") are used, Syringe
exhibit the strength and candor I have sorely missed from a rock trio.
This single is hard to put down like a dear John letter. You keep perusing
it time and again, certain you missed something, trying to soak in the
nuances missed in the first few rounds. Eloquent, endearing yet elusive,
Syringe are truly a wonder.
