The very, very long awaited split single from these longtime friends Joel Huschle and John Darnielle. Because of all the tragedy surrounding this single, it was given the lucky catalog number 13. Don't confuse their new sounds with these golden recordings. This is the kinda vintage stuff that put Furniture and the Goats on such big labels as Shrimper and Joel's own Car In Car Disco Product. For a long time this was considered the non-existent black sheep of the Mountain Goats releases. If you didn't get the single, you can still get the Mountain Goats tracks on their Ghana CD released by 3 Beads Of Sweat ( www.3bos.com ).

Lovely little slab from 1996 (and recorded in 1994) on Oklahoma City's Little Mafia label. None of the these Mountain Goats songs are on Bitter Melon Farm or Protein Source though we suspect they will be on Ghana. Don't be a chump though and buy the original vinyl. Includes "Anti Music Song," " Going to Hungary" and "Earth Air Water Trees" by the Mountain Goats and " Mercury Bobcat" and "Unforgiveable Stuff" by Furniture Huschle. Last few available forever!
