MICROLIGHT SOUND
Eyes Bleed Silver
LM015 SPLIT 7"

Edition of 300
$3ppd USA/$5ppd world

Track listing:
Side A: Eyes Bleed Silver
Side B: Trick Stairs

Great structured sound that's easy to turn on to. Hypnotic instrumentation in the vein of Bardo Bond with delirious vocals to match. You're sure to fall in love with Mariya's voice without the sappy guilt you fell when listening to Hope Sandoval. Well worth the experience.

Reviews:
Great 7" from this San Francisco band (in a Sonic Youth/Stereolab vein). Nice Packaging.
- Little Brother Mailorder Catalog

Mantric hush-rock angling on the sorta territory Kranky have tried to stake as their own, although the flipside track nods more towards, say, Ash ra Tempel.
- Adverse Effect Mailorder Catalog

A tender female voice surrounded by surging guitars and drums creates a sense of filmic noir. Black & white grainy super-8 images conjured and crashed as a Seam record explodes from the theater's sound system. Ballyut-strangled guitar strings ring in the still air as their repetition begins to envelope the listener. Belonging in the record collections of Che' Records employees, Microlight Sound display timid thoughts of introverts that will prove to be the young geniuses of a generation. As with most great debuts, this edition of 300 will be sought after in years to come as word spreads about the importance of Microlight Sound.
- MOD Magazine, Issue 3

2 tracks from '96 The A-side is a bit of dynamic slowcore a la Empress, Broken Dog, etc. ranging from quiet introspective moments with lovely female vocals to full-on guitar assaults. The B-side is a more propulsive number with noisy guitars accompanied by Sonic Youth type male/female vocals, occasional flute, and ending on an experimental note. For fans of Movietone, Blonde Redhead, etc.. Elaborate packaging in transparency sleeves with color insert and clear vinyl, makes for an impressive visual!
