I was told by Emil of Cock E.S.P. that there was a band in Minneapolis that I had to hear and if at all possible see live. I got in touch with Buffo shortly thereafter and this split single is the end result. Buffo is a noisy guitar and drum duo who's ingenious instrumentals race along like a three-legged horse with tin cans and an oil drum tied to it's ass. pontential graduate students from the mid 90's Chicago school of artrock as their sound is akin to that of U.S. Maple, The Flying Luttenbachers, and Storm & Stress. Rumored to have released an album titled Confused Hair on SkinGraft Records however an actual copy of this album has never been recovered and the band has since dissolved. Even more reason to acquire the only known release by this mysterious duo. Hats off to Buffo for picking Happy Grindcore to share the wax. Hailing from Hamburg, Germany but claiming the title for the world's first acoustic grindcore band. On this single is a mix of lounge, beats and power violence. In a perfect world people would be allowed to openly express their mood swings without ridicule and our children would listen to Happy Grindcore during naptime.

Do I know how to describe this masterpiece? Words can not begin to tell you of the importance of this piece! Buffo is a 2 human, 1 dog destroying machine with lots of guitars, drums, casios, effects, importance, attention deficit disorder....Happy Grindcore you must be aware of as they are the world's first accoustic grindcore outfit. Back in the 1940's these guys were not doing anything, but now....
