Occassionally, I will stumble across a demo tape or 7" of what is
clearly some high school band of the late 70", early 80's and I have
to buy it to see how interesting it is. I approached this release with
the same curiosity. I like geek rock and with songs about wizards, cheese,
and shoes, this is about as good as it gets.

The idea was to create the worst band in the
world. Seasonal Concepts was formed in 2001, in Minneapolis, after which
the core members fled to such far-flung locales as Seattle and Tokyo
in an attempt to escape their creation. Their methods have included shoddy
recording, extemporaneous composition, and marginal musical skills. Song
themes include wizards, robots, odors, savings accounts and - of course
- hometowns. "Olympia" was composed by Concepts co-founder
Xuzee Pance as an 8th grade school project for music class. She received
an A, which is more than can be said for this inexcusable release.
